Neues Grün - Rollrasen und Büsche
Aktuell kommen nur noch sehr wenige Flüchtlinge über das Meer. Teilweise werden tägliche Ankünfte auf Kos nur noch im einstelligen Bereich registriert.
Wegen der verringerten Ankunft und weil man diese Flüchtlinge in leeren Hotels unterbringen kann, beginnen jetzt die Aufräumarbeiten.
Das Camp vor der Burg (seeseitig) wird so langsam geräumt. Eine holländische Hilfsorganisation ist dabei, das Abbau zu organisieren.
Auch der Stadtstrand gegenüber der Polizeistation wurde wieder gereinigt.
Außerdem hat die Stadtverwaltung begonnen die Grünflächen Richtung Psalidi neu zu begrünen. Palettenweise wurde Rollrasen verlegt, um die Flächen wieder zu beleben. Neu gepflanzte Büsche und Sträucher lassen die einst grauen Stellen wieder gesund aussehen.
Vorher war hier von grün nichts mehr zu sehen. Nur Zelte, Zelte, Zelte. Und noch mehr Flüchtlinge.
