Nachfolgend die neuesten Zahlen der angekommenen Gäste für Kos im Mai 2016. Ich habe diese Zahlen der Zeitung AegeanNews entnommen. Allgemeine Meinung ist, das dieses Jahr mit bis zu 300.000 Besuchern weniger gerechnet wird. Das wäre wirklich schade, denn es ist nicht ein Flüchtling / Immigrant in der Stadt Kos zu sehen. Es kommen kaum noch welche an. Das liegt vielleicht auch daran, das die Gemeinde Bordrum / Türkei das Abkommen wohl sehr stringent umsetzt. Die wenigen Flüchtlinge die auf der Insel Kos sind, leben ca. 20 Kilometer von Kos entfernt in einem Hotspot.

Die Gemeinde Kos hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben, um die Stadt Kos "gut aussehen zu lassen". Viele Sträucher, Blumen und Rasenflächen wurden runderneuert. Nichts erinnert mehr an die chaotischen Zustände im letzten Jahr.

Auch die äußeren Bedingungen stimmen. Heute haben wir z. B. fast 28 Grad im Schatten, ein wenig Wind. Und das Wasser ist klar und sauber wie immer.
